Families like this fall into my “favorites” category – maybe they haven’t had their portraits taken in awhile, maybe they recognize that these tween and early teenage years are worth marking just as the earlier years of childhood. It’s easy to see the leaps and bounds that our children grow when they are small – the months marked on a door frame or the clothes that fit yesterday, but not today. Suprisingly enough, this trend still marks true when our children are in those in between years. So, when families like this treat these years as just as special as any that have come before, it makes my heart sing.
So, along Main Street in their little town and on the grounds of a local museum, we captured the essence of who their family is today…because today matters.
